CHEMISTRY
CHAPTER ZERO Just an aside: When I visit schools to do demonstrations, I warm up my audience by asking them “What do we say when we see something neat with our eyes? [answer: Oooh!] and What do we say when we see something neat with our minds? [answer” Aha!]. And of course, one can divide the class in halves and see whether the “Oooh!”s can be louder than the “Aha!”s. Reminder to teachers: When you must teach observations and inferences, please remember that neat observations rate an “Oooh!” and neat inferences rate an “Aha!”.
